About Me

hey friends!!

I am currently making my way through high school (senior year to be specific), having to depend daily on Jesus to give me the strength to preserve through my bad days, and remind myself He is my sole source of joy on the good days.

By creating this blog I am hoping to be real with the people around me, and to take a big leap out of my comfort zone. Being vulnerable is a scary thing, but jumping into something that scares you is the whole point of going out of your comfort zone. This is not easy, but I'm doin' it!!

I do not have all my junk together, and am so far from perfect it is insane. No one has everything together, even if it may seem like they do. So it is ok to feel like you don't know what you are doing or that you are lost- I feel like that quite often, as I am sure you will see in my posts. I am learning that it is okay to not be okay. One of my favorite sayings is that "comparison is a thief of joy". How gosh darn powerful is that. When you compare yourself to others don't you feel less happy about you and how far you may have come from where you once were? I know I fall into that trap daily. We need to be reminded that everyone is at different stages in their life. Everyone handles situations differently.  And overall, that everyone is different. My goal with this blog is to hopefully be relatable and encouraging.

I am going to apologize in advance to my mother who is probably going to read this and explain to me the grammatical mistakes I make throughout every post -- so, sorry mom. I am going to write the way I want to write, so if my grammar mistakes cause your pannies to get in a wad, just know I warned you.

With that being said, if you read all of this and are actually interested in hearing what I have to say about things, want to learn more about me, or hear a more in-depth reason as to why I decided to blog, go hit up my first post- reflecting. pausing. processing.
